An Animated Approach

Does this character, prop or environment tell a story? I ask myself this question every time I begin a piece. The answer should be simple, but as a designer you find yourself stepping back and asking, does this design element tell my story. In my work I focus on deliberate staging, lighting and color all with the end goal of conveying the emotion of the story and translating the narrative from a script or board to a fully realized, palpable world.
